Fall / Winter Learn to Row information

Beginning Adult Sculling Classes at SDRC - Fall 2010
12 Hours, 6 classes. Fee $230, Weekend classes
This course introduces sculling technique, terminology, and water safety using recreational singles. Small class size ensures individual attention and rapid progression. Students successfully completing this course are qualified to join the rowing club.
What to wear: Rowing shells have many moving parts. Appropriate rowing attire includes snug fitting cloths so that they do not get caught in your rowing shell’s rigging.
 Be prepared to take a flip test (self rescue in & out of rowing shell) on the first day. Shower & changing facilities are available.
Class minimum: 3 (maximum of 5 Adults)
Fee: $230, $50 deposit will reserve your place. Please send check payable to:

Session Dates 8:00-10:00 am (first class goes as late as 11:00 am)
I September 11/12, 18/19, 25/26
II October 2/3, 9/10, 16/17
llI October 23/24, 30/Nov 6 Advanced class*
lV December 4/5, 11/12 Advanced class*
V January 8/9, 22/23, 29/30
*Advanced classes are $100, 4 meetings. These classes are available after taking a beginning sculling class.
